Theory of Earth Formation Manuel & Moises

Uniformitarianism is the theory that changes in the earth's crust during geological history have resulted from the action of continuous and uniform processes

Catastrophism is the theory that changes in the earth's crust during geological history gave resulted chiefly form sudden violent and unusual events

James Hulton and Charles Lyell both played big roles in discovering Uniformitarianism in the 1800s

Georgis Cuvier was responsible for coming up with Catastrophism in the early 1900th century

We believe uniformitarianism is the theory that correlates with Plate Tectonics because they both result from continuous and uniform processes.

Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram

1. The Hertzsprung-Russell diagram is important to astronomy because it was the first diagram to help classify stars, it demonstrates their luminosities and star colors and determine their temperature as well as real brightness.
2. The H-R diagram measures their temperature and real brightness as well as other characteristics by looking at the distances to the stars and upon the type of light emitted.
3. Our sun would be near the main sequences of the H-R diagram.

Haiku For Marine Science

Sizes & Distances in Space

Huge Planets in Space
Distances, unable to face
Infinite is Space

My Haiku explains the distances between planets and stars by describing them to be unimaginable. The distances between stars and solar systems is so great that we cannot even begin to comprehend. Space is also never ending which is explained by describing it as infinite.
